So many have provided their opinions regarding acting, plot, and storylines that I won't bother. This review is only focused on the quality of the transfers to this Blu Ray collection only. So far, I have watched in order the first half of the set which means all the films up to and including 'For Your Eyes Only'.

Great films. MGM still hasn't corrected some issues for blu-ray
Just some notes on the various blu-rays. This could have and should have been a perfect set, but it's not. MGM doesn't care..they know you'll buy anyway...

Dr. No - Overall nice quality blu-ray. Colors have been driven more towards naturalistic than originally done

Video Quality Breakdown
If you are looking at this you know this is a classic series of movies. I am here to attempt to review the quality if the blu-ray transfer for each movie. I want a potential buyer to know what they are getting when it comes to a the video quality presented in this set

Case:

The design here is compact and neat. There is an oversized blu ray keep case that holds all 7 discs. The discs are in back to back holders.

Image Quality

Rocky :
This is definitely the best quality we have ever gotten. There is a question as to weather or not this is the best possible transfer we could get, but it is very difficult to judge something on conjecture. Anyway, the aspect ratio is 1.85:1 with a 1080p/mpeg2 transfer. This is the same remastering as the 2006 blu ray and we may not get a better version for a long time.

While watching the movie it looks very good, but there is significant noise on the screen at pints which can be distracting. This...
Enough about the price drop complaining, review the product!
Ok, I watched this set I borrowed from a friend and the picture isn't as bad as everyone says it is. Somewhere someone said they felt like they were watching a VHS tape...give me a break! While they obviously could have done a better job cleaning these up, they are for sure better than the DVD versions. But it's still a decent transfer...I'm sure there they will eventually be completely remastered.

As for those of you complaining about the price droppings...have you noticed the significant drop overall in blu-ray pricing? Now the blu-ray is becoming more mainstream, the prices are coming down! If there are no advantages to pre-ordering, then don't get it! Everyone has had a situation where they paid for something and later saw it cheaper and lost a few bucks. Amazon is still cheaper than going out to Best Buy or Wal-mart and getting it. Factor in that the majority of Amazon users don't have to pay tax and can have the items shipped to you for FREE, then that is even...
Best Rocky you'll ever see

The Rocky series is my favorite series of movies hands down. I know they are cliche and campy but I just adore them. This transfer is one of the best I've seen IMO. Now don't expect to watch Rocky I-V and it look as good as the Avatar blu ray because it just won't. But they are great transfers and the sound that is picked up on them that I've never heard before watching the old DVD releases is just amazing. If you like Rocky and are a fan of HD then you owe it to yourself to get this. The packaging looks great as well.

..And enough about the price drop. Seriously. If you want to complain, blog about it. Create a discussion on this product. Don't rate the product poorly because YOU paid too much.

Pointless Dribble
There is no true plot to this movie. It is genuinely meaningless. The movie centers around four girls who decide to teach men a lesson by assaulting them at gun point and rape them. Led by the sexual promiscuous member of the group, they set to first get "revenge" on one of the girl's boyfriends who just took her virginity. But here is where the movie comes undone. The guy did nothing wrong. He never raped or took advantage of the girl. She had what effectively amounts to buyer's remorse. Moreover, the promiscuous girl announces that their criminal actions were going to be done for "all women." With equal nebulous mindless indiscrimination, all men somehow become culpable for some baseless reason. The girls bumble their attempts, even somewhat humorously trying to arouse a young gay man. In the interim, the promiscuous leader, while having announced to her friends the worthlessness of the male race, goes out and pursues the worse examples of manhood, getting over her head...
What's the point of this movie?

From the reviews, this definitely sounded like something I wanted to see. Girls taking back what's rightfully theirs from deceitful arrogant men who use women for sex. But I watched this twice and still couldn't figure out the plot. Interesting idea, but it was never developed. The girls are still weak and break down for men. The fire at the end didn't even fit with the rest of the movie and the ending was incredibly inconclusive. I felt empty and used after this movie, just like the female characters in them. It made no sense and had no substance.

A Cult Film? Yes, But That Doesn't Save the Project

I don't like spoilers, so I will simply say that a full-nudity
Molly Parker erotic scene, and possibly a brief full-nudity
scene with the boyfriend character, are in this version and
not in the edited version.
I think that the Molly erotic scene is important, so
I recommend this uncut version of the movie.
The picture size and quality are somewhat less that that of
the edited version, but they are good enough.
I thought a few key scenes were too short, but other than that
this is a great movie.

Necrophilia is not what this is all about

It is about a coming of age for the heroine of the movie, Molly Parker. She plays a woman who is obsessed with young deceased men and finds herself working at mortuaries so that she can be intimate with them. While I do not think necrophilia is something positive, it is a psychopathology that does occur and often by employees in the funerary business.

Again, the film is an interesting and under-rated one that is quite interesting, well-acted and quite enjoyable. I love films that are creatine and this one is definitely for you broad-minded people who want to see something artistic and not mainstream, yet done tastefully. Without giving away the plot, I highly recommend this contraversial film.
