Don't overlook this DVD from Journey.....
New singer, new sound, comparisons to Steve Perry simply aren't fair. Steve Augeri does a GREAT job being himself, contributing in a big way to the sound, and also singing some pretty hard to emulate songs sung originally by a legend.
No, they are not a cover band. Check out "Higher Place". I've been a Journey fan since I was very young, love most of what they've done. Some of their music is absolutely epic, unforgettable, and will play forever in my mind. Higher Place is one of the top 5-7 Journey songs of all time. Just a fantastic effort with great writing, great arranging, great instrumentation. Vocal harmonies in this song are beautiful and inspiring. Steve Augeri can sing a damn song!
